Quiz 1

Vote#1                                      Vote#2

Well I got 468 votes in total on this survey, but a maximum of 400 on the other quizzes today, so I suspect some students did vote twice.  There are 720 students registered in the course.  The reasons, in order of popularity, not corrected for double-voting, were:

  1. I’m afraid that if I don’t come I’ll miss something important that could be on the test (176 students, 38% of class)
  2. I find the lectures help clarify the subject matter (84 students, 18% of class)
  3. I feel obliged, this is costing a lot of money (82 students, 18% of class)
  4. I really don’t know! (35 students, 7% of class)
  5. I find the lectures to be fun. (31 students, 7% of class)
  6. A reason other than the ones in these lists (27 students, 6% of class)
  7. I meet my friend(s) here. (18 students, 3% of class)
  8. I thought these clicker questions counted for marks. (15 students, 3% of class)
