Highly entangled quantum matter include topological order (long-range entangled) and symmetry protected topological (SPT) order (short-range entangled). The study of highly entangled quantum matter represent a new frontier in condensed matter research. I will give an overview of highly entangled quantum matter, which include topologically ordered states with emergent gauge theory, emergent fractional statistics/charges, etc, and SPT phases (such as interacting topological insulator/superconductor and beyond).
