Physics Computing Services
Up one levelPhysics Computing Services (PCS) provides computing and networking support for members of the Physics Department. Our focus in on primary infrastructure such as the departmental servers and support for core network hardware -- including planning and maintenance of cabling and switches -- along with network security and monitoring. PCS also provides service contracts for computers and peripherals, consulting on hardware and software purchases and support in planning and maintenance of research computing facilities such as Linux clusters. Our operating system coverage includes Microsoft Windows, Linux and various Unixes and Apple MacOS X.
