Science Rendezvous
Be amazed by how the world works! Come tinker with pattern formation and chaos theory. Check out everything PHYSICS from kinematics to superconductivity!
Join us on Saturday, May 11th, 2013 at the McLennan Physical Labs, 60 St. George Street from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Physics opens its doors to the public. Come see the Superconducting Levitating Train, Resonance Plates, the Chaotic Pendulum and lots more physics demonstrations. Participate in a rolling-can race - bring your own non-perishable food donation and try to win prizes for fastest and slowest rolling motion down an incline! Play with a real magic wand that levitates a ribbon using the long-range electric force! Also sign up for one of our INVENTours - tours of actual research labs so you can see what really goes on behind the scenes here in physics!
