Conceptual Question [These start on page 122]
19. Yes. If the speed of the softball relative to the thrower is the same as the speed of the truck relative to the road. The motion would appear parabolic to the thrower.

Problems and Exercises [These start on page 125]
53. (a) 4 m/s (b) 7.7 min (c) with no wind the round trip would have taken 22 minutes, but with the wind it takes 27.7 minutes.
56. 17.0 m/s, 22.2 degrees above the horizontal
