Abstract
Some problems of solid state physics and quantum optics with
a strong particle-particle coupling can be solved exactly
by means of the Bethe ansatz technique. The spectrum of these
problems is described in terms of so called Bethe strings
(or quantum solitons).
We are going to develop quantum electrodynamics of a frequency
gap medium doped with resonance atoms in terms of Bethe strings
and to discuss a many-photon localization in the vicinity of the
atom as an effect of a string's pinning to the atom.
