SuperCDMS Onboarding

Steps to take to get registered into the Toronto SuperCDMS group

Initial Setup

Here are information about getting accounts to work with SuperCDMS collaboration resources. If you have acquired related accounts below, feel free to skip related items.

  • SuperCDMS public confluence site is here. This includes most of the information below, though we often don’t need all of the accounts listed here. I’m listing individual items in this email so that it’s easier for you to get to each items.
  • Register as SuperCDMS Collaboration Member: Register here.
  • Get an “Confluence only” account at SLAC following the first block "How to get access to Confluence only" of this link : Confluence only
  • Get a GitLab account, following "How to get a GitLab account” on this page: GitLab account.
  • Join SuperCDMS@UofT SLACK team. And (optionally) join SuperCDMS SLAC team (big SLAC space for the whole collaboration). You can join these lists following these instructions.
  • Join ComputeCanada by filling out this form: https://ccdb.computecanada.ca/account_application . Your sponsor will be Prof. Miriam Diamond, with CCRI: dkh-002-02. You can register under Prof. Ziqing Hong (CCRI: yia-121-02) or Prof. Pekka Sinervo (CCRI: nhb-781-01), but then you will have to be added to group allocation groups.
  • You should place yourself on to the email list supercdms_toronto@listserv.physics.utoronto.ca by going to the SuperCDMS Administration Site and registering (a moderator will let you in shortly after you register). Most (if not all) of the meeting notices and group information will be sent to this mailing list.
  • An internal DokuWiki server (https://dokuwiki.tes-uoft.com/) is often used for local lab activities and have internal documents hosted there. Contact Ziqing Hong to request for a username.
  • (Optional) You can send Ziqing Hong your gmail account so that I can add you to the group gmail calendar. It can be convenient at times.

Meetings

We have several meetings a week (emails are sent out as reminders but not bad to put these as recurring meetings in your calendar).

  1. The general SuperCDMS@UofT Group Meeting on Friday at 10-11AM,
  2. A lab-related technical meeting on Monday at 10-11 AM, and
  3. A non-lab technical meeting on Tuesday noon-1PM.
