Magnetic frustration and unconventional magnetism in copper minerals

Copper minerals provide a rich platform for exploring magnetic frustration and unconventional magnetic phenomena. Their crystal structures often support geometrically frustrated networks of antiferromagnetic exchange interactions, which can give rise to degenerate magnetic states and chiral magnetism. In this talk we will focus on two such minerals, bobkingite and quetzalcoatlite, examining the interplay between lattice geometry and magnetic interactions and discussing their potential as tunable platforms for unconventional magnetism.
