Emergent skyrmion lattice dynamics in rhombohedral graphene

I will show that rhombohedral graphene moire systems provide a purely electronic realization of skyrmion lattice physics. This skyrmion lattice texture, which arises in the layer-pseudospin degree of freedom, provides a physically intuitive picture for the correlated integer and fractional Chern insulators observed in recent experiments. The dynamics of this skyrmion lattice lead to new types of collective excitations and charged quasiparticles.
