Causality is a fundamental property of any physical system. Yet, in many effective theories, causality implies non-trivial connections between the low energy and high energy physics and may also constrain the space of low energy parameters. I will discuss how causality (analyticity) constrains 2 to 2 scattering and discuss the implications for single-field inflation.
