Official description

An introductory course in Electromagnetism.  Topics include:  Point charges; Coulomb's Law; electrostatic field and potential; Gauss' Law; conductors; electrostatic energy; magnetostatics, Ampere's Law, Biot-Savart Law, the Lorentz Force Law; Faraday's Law; Maxwell's equations in free space.

If students use MAT235H1 to satisfy the Corequisite, enrolling and completing MAT236H1 as well is strongly recommended.
