(Regarding the formatting of the pdf files) In-Reply-To: <200211112112.gABLCNQi010061@courses.ece.toronto.edu> Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Dear Prof.Steinberg, I am planing to give a presentation about the technique of measuring ultrashort laser pulses, FROG(Frequency-resolved optical gating). First I will introduce the importance of ultrashort pulse measurment. Then I will introduce the development of ultrashort pulse measurement technique and compare FROG to other techniques to find the advantages of FROG technique. The main part of my presentation is to give our classmates a specified example to show how we achieve the full information of the ultrashort pulse from this technique. I will provide other methods to achive FROG. Finally, I will give a summation about what I say and tell something about the developing direction of measuring ultrashort pulses. Please tell me whether this topic meets your requirment. I did not know whether this email is satisfied with your assignment to me. Please inform me if you want a formal abstract about the presentation. Thank you. Sincerely, Yang Shengjun
