This small annual award was started in 2008, and can be won by graduate students in the Physics Department at U of T St. George Campus who are teaching PHY131 or PHY132 in the fall or winter semester. It is awarded after every academic year based on the written student evaluations done in Practicals.
Approximately
1500 paper surveys are circulated each year, and we ask the
students to numerically rate their Learning Assistants based
on the following 3 questions:
The choices are
"Strongly Disagree", "Disagree", "Neutral", "Agree" or
"Strongly Agree". Results are sorted for all graduate student
Learning Assistants and ranked based on consistency and
quality of the numerical results.
