Interference filters are
multilayer thin-film devices. They can be designed to function as an edge
filter or bandpass filter. In either case, wavelength selection is based on the
property of destructive light interference. This is the same principle
underlying the operation of a Fabry-Perot interferometer.
A set-up for this experiment is being
created in MP245. This lab is currently
under development.
