SURF Meeting - 20 June 2012

1. Some Physics News

   • Higgsteria Rising
     • Six thousand physicists can't keep a secret
     • New ATLAS and CMS results to be reported at International Conference on High Energy Physics in Melbourne; a dozen or more ATLAS and CMS talks on 7 July, with Plenaries on 8 July.
     • Rumours of CERN Press Conference on 6 July. How to spin it?

2. Administrative details

• Before leaving, you must give David:
• Your notebooks.

  You can make a copy for your own records, but we want the original since copies are not a legible.

• USB key with all computer files.

  If they don't fit on USB key, put the most important files on the USB key, and talk to David about what to do with the others.

• Final Report.

Report should be logically organized and clear. Refer to Notebook page numbers and computer files as needed, but important results, data, conclusions, methods, etc. should be summarizing in report.

• Going GSU Pub after this meeting.
