OLYMPIADS
The 2003 National and
International Competitions
In 2003 the National Olympiad
Finals (NOF) were held at the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston (ON),
from May 25 to June 1.
The 35th International Chemistry Olympiad (35th
IChO) was held in Athens (Greece) from July 5 to 14, 2003.
The 34th International Physics Olympiad (34th
IPhO) took place in Taipei (Taiwan) from August 2 to 11, 2003.
The Canadian participants in the 2003 NOF and the members of the selected
Chemistry and Physics teams, together with the results obtained at the
International Chemistry and Physics competitions, are listed below.

FUTURE INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIAD SITES:
The 36th
IChO will be held in Kiel (Germany) from July 18 to 27, 2004. The
35th IPhO will be held in Pohang (South Korea)
from July to 15 to 23, 2004. The Canadian teams to the 2004 International
Olympiads will be selected at the 2004 NOF, which will be held from
May 30 to June 6 at the University of Toronto. As with previous competitions, we have great expectations
from our talented young Canadian students this year.
