Research Interests (primarily in Seismology)
- Numerical simulations of 3-D seismic wave propagation in heterogeneous/anisotropic medium based upon the spectral-element method (SEM).
- Full waveform inversions (adjoint tomography) based upon SEM simulations at both regional and continental scales, using earthquake data, ambinent-noise and teleseismic scattered waves.
- Nonlinear inversion/optimization methods; model resolution analysis.
- Acoustic Emission, microseismics and induced seismicity: event detection, source localization, source mechanism inversions.
