Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship
Opportunities for summer research and lab development at the University of Toronto
About the Fellowship
The Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) is intended to provide entry-level summer research experience for students who have completed first or second year physics courses at the University of Toronto. First Year Applications must complete PHY152H1 or PHY132H1 by April and intend to enrol in a Physics program; Second Year Applicatants must be enrolled in a Physics program or intend to choose the Engineering Science Physics Option.
A limited number of Fellowships are available. Fellowships are worth $2040 each, and are based on projects which are expected to take about six weeks to complete. Work will be Full-Time during the period 2 May - 20 June. Students generally work in pairs, supervised by Physics faculty members.
Last Year, SURF students worked on a number of engaging projects
