On the Evolutionary Origins of Drug Resistance

The fundamentals of the origin of drug resistance in organisms are deeply tied to fundamental questions of evolution dynamics.  In spite of 150 years of research on evolution, beginning even before Darwin, the field is remarkably contentious.  I'll try to bring a 21st century perspective to evolution dynamics and use it to explain recent experiments we have done showing that evolution can happen far faster than you might think naively.
