Our team of craftspersons have extensive experience in the university research environment, and are happy to help with design suggestions, particularly with respect to materials selection and modifications that will enhance the quality and reduce the cost of the finished product.

The Staff has experience working with a wide variety of materials, including stainless steel, titanium, copper, machinable ceramics, plastics, laminates, and with more conventional materials like brass and steel.

In addition to the main facility, there is a student mechanical workshop which has a dedicated supervisor who provides training and will assist students with projects.
