Abstract:

Aerosols are a major source of uncertainty in the Earth’s radiative budget and one of the most important constituents with regard to air quality. This seminar will give an overview of aerosol remote sensing from space. Some of the limitations with current methods will be discussed and (potential) future instruments will be presented and contrasted with current technologies. Most of the focus will be on aerosols over Canada.
