Accidental Dark Matter in Confining Gauge Theories

Confining gauge theories lead automatically to cosmologically stable particles that are attractive Dark Matter candidates. After reviewing motivations and scenarios where DM is a baryon of a dark gauge group I will describe new realizations where DM is a composite light fermion that arises due to ’t Hooft anomaly matching conditions. This generates accidental DM candidates that behave similarly to elementary particles but with compositeness effects that importantly modify the DM phenomenology.
