I will review the recent developments of 't Hooft anomaly matching and its generalizations including one-form symmetries. I will also discuss the physical applications of these mathematical technologies. Especially, I will spend a lot of time discussing quantum mechanical analogues of theta angle in Yang-Mills theory.
