What is the role of journalists in conveying science to the public at large? How is that role evolving in the vast and fluid digital landscape that information consumers encounter today? What are the features and best practices that exemplify good science journalism regardless of style and platform? These questions have become more pressing because of disruption in the media world and the growth of misinformation about science online. I will offer an inside look at how science becomes journalistic content today and consider how that process is influenced by the changing ways that citizens inform themselves.
