Hoi-KwongLo45

Professor Hoi-Kwong Lo, of the Department of Physics and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, has been elected as a 2024 Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). This distinction is for select IEEE members whose extraordinary accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest are deemed fitting of this prestigious grade elevation. Hoi-Kwong was recognized "for contributions to theory and practice of quantum cryptography".

Prof. Lo feels honoured by the recognition and says “It is a surprise and a delight that good things do happen twice some time [he also received the 2023 IEEE Photonics Society Quantum Electronics Award last July]. I feel deeply humbled. Therefore, I would like to work harder to make myself worthwhile of the recognition that has been given to me.”
