Abstract: I will briefly overview our recent activities. I will then describe studies of the full counting statistics of charge and energy transport and focus on our analysis of the anomalous electronic noise in atomic scale junctions.

Abstract: I will briefly overview our recent activities in the field of skyrmions and skyrmion crystals including unconventional quantum oscillations and Kerr effect. In the spirit of this discussion session, I will also describe our ongoing work on a more microscopic understanding the impact of strain gradients in generating Dzyaloshinskii Moriya exchange for which we have previously proposed a Landau theory description, and applied to experiments on SrRuO3 films.
