Atomic Quantum Metrology


I will describe recent experimental results applying quantum metrology (squeezing, entanglement, QND measurements) to the measurement of atomic states and measurement of classical fields using atoms.  Recent results include optical/atomic magnetometry using squeezed light and entangled photon pairs, QND measurements of collective atomic spin, atomic ensemble spin squeezing, and quantum measurements with systems of interacting particles (photons in this case).
