Beginning form the discovery of the non-Abelian strings in 2003, a broad picture emerged of a mechanism of confinement in super-Yang-Mills, which goes beyond the pioneering result of Seiberg and Witten. A one-to-one correspondence was found between the BPS protected sectors of the bulk four-dimensional theories supporting non-Abelian strings and two-dimensional theories of the string worldsheet. Some of the latter present a novel class of N=(0,2) models with quite remarkable dynamical properties.
