Introduction to Physics II
Official description
The second university physics course primarily for students not intending to pursue a Specialist or Major program in Physical or Mathematical Sciences. Topics include: electricity, magnetism, light, optics, special relativity. Lab kit fees of $51 may apply.

Please refer to the Delivery Instructions for further details. In-person lectures will be recorded and posted on Quercus, formative assessments will be available during and outside the class time. Students are expected to attend all summative assessments (quiz, midterms, and a final) and practical sessions in person. Tests: All term tests will be held on a Tuesday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The precise dates will be confirmed on the Quercus course site in early January. Students should try to avoid scheduling tutorials/practicals in other courses in that time slot. If a conflict is unavoidable, students should be available Tuesdays 4:00pm to 6:00pm to write at the alternate sitting. Practicals: Students cannot alternate their Practical, on the same day, with any 100‐level BIO or CHM course lab. Students may add or change a Practical (PRA) section via ACORN until January 17, 2025. Starting January 18, 2025, adding or changing of Practical sections must be requested online at: https://forms.office.com/r/2MQbHUWdev. A lab practical spot is guaranteed for every student who is registered in the lecture.
