Ryan Vilim wins Outstanding Student Paper Award

Presents at the American Geophysical Union's Spring Joint Assembly

PhD student Ryan Vilim was awarded the Best Student Paper Award for his presentation of  "Dynamo models Incorporating Iron "Snow Zones" Consistent with Mercury's Weak Observed Magnetic Field" at the 2009 Joint Assembly of the American Geophysical Union and Canadian Geophysical Union held in Toronto from May 24-27, 2009. This award is one of six the CGU offers to recognize outstanding performance in scientifc research and presentation by students.  Vilim was presented his prize at the Award Ceremony of the CGU annual meeting.  In addition, Vilim and his supervisor, Professor Sabine Stanley will be reported in CGU newsletter Elements, on CGU website, and in American Geophysical Union newsletter EOS.
