William Trischuk Becomes Fellow of the American Physical Society

Professor William Trischuk has been elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society, a distinct honour signifying recognition by his peers. Members of the Society elected to fellowship have contributed to the advancement of physics by independent, original research or have rendered some other special service to the cause of the sciences. Trischuk was cited for the development of novel particle detectors and their application for precision measurements, including the W boson mass, the tau lepton lifetime and Bs mixing, and for seminal contributions to the development of diamond sensors, a critical technology for next generation high luminosity colliders.
