Holography as a probe of quantum gravity

Any theory of quantum gravity must have at least one important ingredient: a solution for the black hole information paradox. There are many reasons to suspect that the solution lays beyond semiclassical corrections. So what tools can we use to find a solution? In this talk I will discuss how powerful holography and conformal field theories (CFTs) can be for approaching this problem. In particular, I will talk about a specific holographic CFT, the D1D5 CFT, dual to a gravity system in a highly quantum regime and how we can calculate perturbations towards semiclassical physics.
