Current Opportunities
Email outreach@physics.utoronto.ca if you are interested in any of the opportunities below:
- We are always looking for people to develop workshops for our School Visit Program.
- Jan 2025 - looking for volunteers to help run the High School CAP Exam Workshop taking place in late March!
These groups we work are looking for volunteers (updated Aug 2024): - Science Rendezvous:
Science Rendezvous (https://www.sciencerendezvous.ca/) at the University of Toronto (St. George Campus) is a student-run organisation that aims to promote general scientific consciousness to the public, particularly among youth and their families. We host Canada's largest science outreach festival by bringing science out of the lab and onto the street, reaching over 25,000 visitors annually at the St. George Campus. Our aim is to increase public involvement in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.). This event offers visitors the chance to interact with world-class researchers, witness awe-inspiring demonstrations, partake in hands-on experiments and, above all, have fun while discovering S.T.E.A.M. in a whole new way!
- Department of Physics
