Purpose

We typically invite all recipients of graduate offers from the Department of Physics to several "Get to Know Us" events. The purpose of these events is to allow potential graduate students to meet Faculty and current graduate students, and to familiarize themselves with the graduate experience in the Department. This is a significant opportunity to get to know the Department and its researchers.  We encourage all applicants who have received offers to join us.

Structure

In recent years, there have been two components to these events: a virtual visit, available to students anywhere in the world, and an on-campus event, available to those within feasible travel distance to Toronto. The virtual events include an introduction to research groups and one-on-one meetings with faculty. The on-campus event is self-scheduled, enabling maximum flexibility to adapt to each prospective student's research interests.
