Final PhD Oral Exam Seminar - Tidally Forced Marine Ice Stream Instabilities and Their Consequences
The 100-kyr glacial cycle involves a slow glaciation and a rapid deglaciation. I present an explanation for this phenomenon, wherein the deglaciation of the Laurentide ice sheet is accelerated by the rapid collapse of marine-terminating ice streams.

New Probes of Hidden Sectors: From Colliders to Cosmology. The Standard Model faces numerous challenges on both experimental and theoretical fronts that suggest the existence of as-yet undiscovered particles. In this talk I will review the motivations and features of a class of models of new physics known as hidden sectors, and present three studies of their signatures in existing and future collider experiments and cosmological observations.
